I choose to play bass, because the bass is the instrument most-linked to the drums. In jazz rhythm sections, the bassist and the drummer play right next to each other to help lock in the time and feel of a song. Bassists also get to play the freaking lowest notes out there, and I would very much like to rape people’s bodies with my 6-string drop C# tuned bass.
